Biography

Denise McDaniel is an award winning oil painter best known for her plein air, landscapes, architectural renderings and florals.  Her art reflects a lifetime of study and practice that began with a love of children’s book illustrations and is informed by academic training and museum scholarship.  

Denise holds a BFA from Moore College of Art. She is an associate member of Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, The Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, the Burlington County Art Guild and the Willingboro Art Alliance where she founded the WAA Costume/Portrait Workshop and is a past president. McDaniel founded and organizes the Burlington County Farm Fair Competition.

McDaniel is a member of the Princeton University Art Museum Docent Association where she enjoys studying and presenting the works of great masters, ancient cultures, and world class contemporary artists.  She currently serves on the PUAM Executive Committee as the Study Group Coordinator. 

McDaniel teaches drawing and painting at the Center for Modern Aging, Princeton, and the Medford Arts Center, Medford, NJ.
